Community and Island Events
The Township of Jocelyn is rural with an extensive resource recreation area. One of the areas largest industries is maple syrup production. This Township is home to one of the Island’s largest maple syrup producers and every spring people travel to witness and enjoy the maple syrup process.

The Harvest Festival is held annually on the first Saturday of September.
The Harvest Festival includes live music, antique tractor displays, activities for children, wagon rides, log cutting demonstrations, and animals. Visitors can also enjoy delicious treats like ice cream, homemade pies, and the Island’s finest corn.

The Hilton Beach Classic Car Show is held each year at the Hilton Beach waterfront. The event showcases around 100 vehicles, including original, restored, and specialty automobiles.

Arts at the Dock is held on the third Sunday of July annually.
The annual multi-media art exhibition showcases skilled artisans presenting an extensive selection of works, including painting, pottery, photography, and additional artistic mediums.

The Country Road Open House Tour occurs on the weekend prior to Thanksgiving. The Country Road Open House Tour is a self-guided visit to farms, rural studios, and shops across St. Joseph Island, where you can meet local producers and artisans within their own work environments. It is an ideal way to take in the Island’s Fall colours.
