Tenby Bay Cemetery

LOCATION:  5291 5th Side Road, RR#1, Hilton Beach

HISTORY:    Tenby Bay Cemetery was orignally affiliated with the Presbyterian church.  However, it is now a non-denominational cemetery.  The first known burial was in 1886.

STATUS:  Active cemetery – lot sales and care and maintenance of the cemetery are managed by the Township of Jocelyn.

SALE OF LOT:
  • Full Burial:  includes one (1) full burial and up to two (2) cremations

                                  OR

  • Cremations only:  up to four (4) cremations
 
FULL SIZE BURIAL LOT

5 feet x 10 feet               $500.00 + HST (includes Care and Maintenance Fee)

TRANSFER FEE:

Transfer fee is set at $25.00 + HST.

DUPLICATE CERTIFICATE FEE:

In the event that the original Interment Rights Certificate cannot be located, a duplicate certificate fee of $25.00 + HST will be charged.

All monuments must conform to the following height restrictions.  No installation fee will be charged.

MONUMENT THICKNESS

Monument up to 32 inches

at least 6 inches

Monuments from 32 inches to 40 inches

at least 7 inches

Monuments from 40 inches to 55 inches

at least 8 inches

Any Monument higher than 55 inches

Plans must be submitted for the Cemetery Board approval and may be denies for practical reasons.

  • All markers or monuments must be constructed solely of natural stone, and any attachments of bronze, aluminum or stainless steel.  No wooden or concrete markers or monuments will be allowed.

LOCATION:  North side of Highway 548 between the Huron Line and the A line

HISTORY:  The cemetery is located adjacent to the Holy Trinity Anglican Church.  The first burials occurred around 1886.

STATUS:  Active cemetery

Maple Mountain Grove Cemetery

LOCATION:  1267 P Line Road

HISTORY: The Methodist Church was built in 1880.  The cemetery is now non-denominational and is maintained by local residents.
